Frequently asked questions
How are horoscopefriend's daily horoscopes made?
Every morning our own astronomy code works out where the Sun, Moon and planets are. Each reading is then written from those real positions, for example which of your houses the Moon is passing through, and checked against our content rules. Each sign page says exactly how today's text was made.
What is the difference between the Western and Vedic tabs?
The Western tab uses the tropical zodiac and your Sun sign, which is the system most people in the US and UK know. The Vedic tab uses the sidereal zodiac (Lahiri) and your Moon sign, as in Indian astrology. Today the two zodiacs are about 24.2 degrees apart.
Which sign should I read in the Vedic tab?
Vedic daily readings go by your Moon sign (rashi). If you do not know it, enter your birth date, time and place in our free birth chart tool. It shows your Moon sign and nakshatra in seconds.
Are these horoscopes predictions?
No. They are short reflections based on real planet positions, written for fun and self-reflection. We never predict health, money, legal or life events. Astrology has not been shown to predict the future.
For reflection and fun, not fate. We never predict health, money, legal matters or life events, and we sell no gemstones or remedies.
